CSL Danja (Centre de Santé et de Leprologie) is a general purpose health centre with expertise in the treatment of leprosy.
A 40 bed ward and many other ancillary services are available. Founded in 1956), it has had a significant impact in its immediate area and further afield. Its vision is to minister to the whole person as exemplified in the life of Jesus who “...preached, healed and taught...” Matt 4:23 Many former patients and others throughout Niger are living testimony to the witness of Danja as they serve the Lord as teachers, pastors, evangelists, farmers, traders and in many other walks of life.
As SIM Niger seeks to evangelise the unreached, CSL Danja is co-operating with local SIM related churches to evangelise the population in its immediate area. The planting of churches has been a major emphasis from the start. The ministry touches two of the unreached ethnic groups in Niger, the Hausa (over 50%) and the Fulani (10%).
