Kushtia Development Program

Amount Raised $0.00
Team Goal $0.00
The stated goal of the Kushtia Development Program (KDP) is to provide assistance, training and resource development in a variety of areas that will enable and encourage the further development of the Kushtia urban community. The three component areas that have been selected for development are Spoken English Instruction, Computer Training and Physiotherapy Services. The SIM missionaries who are part of this program will be directly involved with evangelism and discipleship to the Muslim Bengali People in the greater Kushtia area. This program will provide a positive identity and a compassionate platform from which these SIM missionaries can be a part of what God is doing to fulfill the mission of Jesus Christ in Bangladesh.

SIM has an official identity in Bangladesh as a registered international Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). As a result, SIM is able to propose various types of projects that would be helpful for the overall uplift and development of the country. Currently a wide variety of projects nationwide are operational in vocational training, agricultural development, arsenic alleviation, adult literacy and health training. The new Kushtia Development Program is also a government approved project. In all projects, the overall goal is to engage in effective community development activities that address people’s problems and move them toward embracing a Biblical worldview that improves their quality of life. The ultimate vision is to assist in the establishment of vibrant assemblies of Muslim Background Believers who trust and care for one another and pursue God’s missionary vision for their own people and for the world.
