Many facets of improved impact and efficiency are envisioned for this project:
Reducing the incidence of HIV infection in the Tahoua/Maradi regions while communicating the gospel message through increased education and outreach, as well as better access to and acceptance of voluntary testing and counselling. Communicating the gospel message to the greater number of people needing Anti-Retroviral Therapy by increasing time with patients and increasing the number of nurses enroled in the Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ARV) training program in Ouagadougou.
Maintaining the quality of the existing program by increasing the training opportunities of key personnel and maintaining and replacing, as needed, the laboratory equipment essential to HIV/AIDS care, including the FACS Count machine, hematology analyzer, and transaminase analyzer.
