ELWA Hospital Renovation, Phase 5

Amount Raised $0.00
Team Goal $0.00
A multi-phased renovation was begun of ELWA Hospital following the Liberian Civil War in 1996. Phase 5 will provide for replacement of a badly leaking and sagging roof over much of the main building and maintenance building. In addition, some additional furnishings (hospital beds, exam tables, and classroom seating), and equipment will be provided to continue improving the working/serving environment at ELWA Hospital. The earlier phases have gradually resupplied and renovated in functional areas. Clinic (Phase 1); Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Emergency, and Surgery (Phase 2); Adult wards, Pharmacy, and equipment upgrade (Phase 3), and Doctors' Office, Laboratory, Private Ward, and X-ray (Phase 4) have all contributed to bringing the main clinical functions of the hospital up to a basic standard, enabling sound health care to be provided to needy people.
