Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Zimbabwe

This is a project that ministers to children made vulnerable by the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Zimbabwe. Most of the children ministered to are orphans or children whose parents are sick. The aim is to keep these children in school by assisting them with school fees, writing materials and uniforms. Help for those living alone is given by providing food packs and seed so that they can grow crops. Orphaned infants are fed with milk formula and goat milk to sustained their lives. Communities are helped to develop vegetable gardens to feed orphaned children. Holiday camps are run for the children in order to equip them with psycho social skills to counter the challenges of life without parents. Church volunteers are trained to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the children visited in various communities and assisted with funding to do income generating activities so that they can support their families and so be able to assist the ministry.
