But the need for increased training capacity did not go away, and the school was reopened in 2001 in the same location under a new leadership team. Named after the Greek word Doulos, the school has developed an ethos of training servant leaders for the Gourma churches. The school has maintained a commitment to running a lean budget to assure a sustained future for the school, based on student tuition and local church support. The school has managed to meet its budgets annually, but local resources are scarce, and supplemental donations from outside are still needed to make the institution as effective as possible. Currently the school trains two classes of 25 couples each over a 4 year curriculum.
